Lauki Ke Kofta Recipe
- 100 grams of water pumpkin, grated lengthwise
- 50 grams of chickpeas
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp salt masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
Gravy:
- 1/2 tomato, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 4 pieces of cayenne pepper, cut into 2 pieces
- 1 tablespoon of refined cashew nuts
- 1 tsp salt masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tablespoons thick yogurt
- Sugar and salt to taste
How to make:
1. Squeeze the water pumpkin so that the water decreases a lot, after drying mix the first ingredients and mix well.
2. Stir until evenly distributed, form balls as large as medium size meatballs, fry in hot oil (medium heat).
3. Heat the oil in a separate skillet, insert a pinch of the tip of the cumin finger until it sizzles.
4. Add the onions followed by chopped chili peppers and finely chopped garlic. Put the tomatoes that have been cut into pieces and leave for a while.
5. Add salt masala, cumin powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, cashew nuts that have been mashed, thick yogurt, stir until blended. Until it forms thick paste.
6. Add half a cup of water and simmer. If it's boiling, put it in a plate, then arrange the pumpkin balls on top.
7. Sprinkle cilantro which has been cut into pieces on it. Serve with hot rice or chapati. Good luck!
