How To Make CREMA CATALANA



Another delicious meal that you can't miss while on vacation in the Catalan capital. That food is crema catalana. This sweet and creamy dessert turned out to have existed since the Middle Ages and one of the oldest sweet dishes in Europe.

Many say that the crema catalana is the Catalan version of the crème brulée. Crème brulée is a French dessert. Although the shape is the same, but there are differences in the way of cooking, serving, and most importantly is the use of ingredients. Crema catalana uses a mixture of orange peel and cinnamon. Historical archives show that dessert is an authentic Spanish recipe.


Ingredients :
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 25 grams of orange peel can be used with orange peel
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3cm cinnamon
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 3 tsp cornstarch 
How to make:

1. Heat in a pan of milk, orange peel, cinnamon and sugar stir until blended.
