Cilantro Lime Butter Salmon is pan seared to tender and flaky perfection and has the most amazing cilantro lime butter honey sauce on top!
HOW DO YOU PAN SEAR SALMON?
In a large non stick skillet over medium-high heat add 2 Tablespoons of oil. Salt and pepper salmon and place skin side up and reduce heat to medium low. Let cook without flipping for 6-7 minutes until the salmon has a nicely brown edge. Flip the salmon over and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CILANTRO LIME BUTTER SAUCE?
Add butter to your skillet and wait to melt. Add garlic and cook for a minute. Whisk in vegetable broth, lime juice, honey, and cilantro. Let the sauce simmer and reduce and add salmon back to the pan. Top with extra chopped cilantro and fresh limes.

- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
- salt and pepper
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- ½ cup vegetable broth
- ¼ cup lime juice
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- chopped cilantro and fresh lime slices for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat add the olive oil. Add the salmon skin side up to the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook without turning for 6-7 minutes until the salmon gets a brown crust. Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove and set aside on a plate.
- Add the butter to the skillet and melt. Add in garlic and cook for a minute unitl tender. Whisk in vegetable broth, lime juice, honey, and cilantro. Let simmer and reduce. Add salmon back to the pan and let it cook in the sauce until heated through. Serve with additional chopped cilantro and lime wedges if desired.
